0PCU (Peak Demand Control Unit) is a peak Demand Controller (DC) with load monitoring and control function for which approval by KEPCO is acquired.
0PCU (Peak Demand Control Unit) is a device that controls the load of the consumer so that the power consumption of each consumer is maintained within the target wattage. The load is automatically cut off or returned so that the maximum wattage is maintained within the predetermined target wattage, providing the consumer with an electric charge saving effect through control of the peak demand power and enables the supplier to stably supply the power.
0The electric power fee of KEPCO is calculated multiplying the maximum value in last July, August, September and the current month among the last 12 months including the month of reading by the basic unit price , and the fee is calculated being divided into seasons and time bands in accordance with the type of contract. Accordingly, the Peak Demand Control Unit monitors increase in the wattage caused by rapid increase in use of loads to reduce the demand by selectively cutting off the load of the consumer if the predicted wattage set by season, time band and day of the week exceeds the target wattage, and inputting load if the predicted wattage becomes smaller than the target wattage as the demand has decreased or if the demand deadline has ended.
